ABOUT US
The Espressos
(in theory) are a diverse musical group that specializes in the broad genre of
Hybrid Orchestral music. At any moment, the group collectively has all the skills needed to compose, record, mix, master, and release any music that projects call for.

The founding member is V, a trained composer, violinist, and clarinetist. He graduated from SUNY Purchase College with a degree in Studio Composition, and a minor in Psychology. He is the founding member of
The Espressos and oversees all projects, commissions, and creations.
​
V's musical experience as a symphonic woodwind and string player inspired him to start composing. Understanding that ink on paper alone cannot make sound, V accumulated all of the skills needed to take a musical idea from paper to playlist. All of this has been fueled by an unholy combination of passion and the desire to be a mad scientist.

Blood is a necessary component that is needed to allow for function. In the case of The Espressos, blood is represented by artwork commission, story writing, orchestration, and musical composition. Without these creations,
The Espressos would have nothing to work with.
CHLOROPHYLL is a compound that captures sunlight and helps a plant convert what is around it (CO2 and water) into something usable. This is what The Espressos do except they use electricity and equipment to convert musical composition and sound waves into digital audio.
WATER is used to cleanse and cut things which is what The Espressos do when mixing and mastering audio. The Espressos ensure that all works and products go through this final cleansing/refinement stage before being released for consumption.
These three concepts are what The Espressos build their skillsets around.

Q: Who are the other members of The Espressos?

A: As of 2025, there is only V and the three voices in his head known as V-01, C-01, and E-01 (shown from left to right).

Despite having all the necessary skills to run the entire operation, V specializes in the creation aspect of The Espressos.
Q: Who is the little anime chibi character on the home page?
​
A: Her name is Avianna and she is the main protagonist of Project Crystalysis, a videogame project that has been split into four sub-projects (ALL PROJECTS).
​
She plays a large role in created print media and is very quippy. Avianna often provides additional tips and tidbits about the material that the reader is consuming.
Q: Why are The Espressos NOT coffee/caffeine themed?
​
A: We used to! Our logo used to be 3 small slime characters with each one representing some sort of energy source.
​
The blue slime represented caffeine/chemical stimulants, the red slime represented nuclear fusion, and the green slime represented nuclear fission.
​
V, the founder states that he "thought it was cool at the time" but decided to shift to a slightly more serious, less "on the nose" tone after doubling down on Project Crystalysis.​​
